Clara (Sonia Braga) is nearly 60 and was once an outstanding music critic. Now, Clara lives alone in a building called "Aquarius," a uniquely styled structure built in the 1940s, with a very long history. Clara loves this beautiful building by the sea and considers it her perfect home. One day, Clara learns that a large real estate developer has bought the entire building and plans to demolish it, which means Clara must sell her home within a deadline. Faced with this power, Clara certainly will not easily submit.
