The village of Frog Village faces land acquisition for the highway, and four households are facing demolition and allocation of residential land. To ensure fairness, everyone agrees to draw lots for the allocation; however, the honest villager Tian Sheng is bullied by Si Hun and others, ending up with a worthless piece of land that no one wants. During the process of building a house and drilling a well, a hot spring is discovered on Tian Sheng's worthless land, creating a sensation in the village. The mine owner Wang Liming uses both hard and soft tactics, employing various methods to force Tian Sheng to relinquish the hot spring; village bully Si Hun requests the village head to reallocate the land, and brings in a drilling team to drill towards Tian Sheng's hot spring. Suddenly, an old classmate of Tian Sheng's wife Xia Ying, who hasn't been seen in over a decade, comes knocking with gifts and invitations to meals, aiming to get a share of the hot spring development. Everyone has ulterior motives regarding this hot spring. Tian Sheng's family, once living a peaceful life, is exhausted by the turmoil, facing the possibility of separation and destruction. Eventually, Tian Sheng can no longer hold out and agrees to give up the hot spring. However, he demands that mine owner Wang Liming pay the wages he owes him and his coworkers. Wang Liming, with no other choice, pays on the spot, and Si Hun even voluntarily transfers his best piece of residential land to Tian Sheng. Just as Wang Liming and Si Hun are heavily investing and promoting the development, the township head arrives and unveils a water quality test report, publicly exposing that Wang Liming’s reckless mining has polluted the hot spring water, rendering it temporarily undevelopable until he addresses the pollution and meets standards. With their plans thwarted, Wang Liming is forced to collaborate with the township government to rectify the pollution. Tian Sheng's family builds a new house and returns to their peaceful life.
