Scott (Michael Cera) is a rock-loving youth who dreams of being a singer and has a band with a few close friends, along with a past relationship that's hard to look back on. His beloved ex-girlfriend Envy Adams (Brie Larson) is swept away by a rival he admires. Just as he is sinking into a deep emotional shadow, high school girl Knives Chau (Ellen Wong) and his dream girl Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) appear before him at the same time. Scott falls for Ramona at first sight, but what he didn’t expect is that he must first defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends to win her heart. Meanwhile, the return of Envy Adams and the interference of Knives Chau make this seemingly impossible task even more difficult. The film employs classic fighting game elements such as three lives for the protagonist, leveling up with coins after defeating bosses, and restarting from checkpoints after defeat, giving the movie a vibrant comic style that game enthusiasts will definitely resonate with. Don’t miss it!
