9-year-old girl Ramona Quimby (Joey King) lives in a happy family, with her kind and tolerant father Robert (John Corbett) who supports the family wholeheartedly; her gentle and caring mother Dorothy (Bridget Moynahan) who manages everything at home; and her beautiful and smart sister Beezus (Selena Gomez) who excels in both character and academics. The two sisters also have a babbling little sister. Imaginative Ramona plays and causes mischief every day, blissfully enjoying this paradise-like happy time. However, after her father's unemployment, the happiness of the Quimby family vanishes, leaving everyone with frowns.
