The story takes place during the Korean War, where Air Force Major Lloyd (portrayed by Marlon Brando) earns the trust and affection of the general, enjoying a bright future ahead. Lloyd is dispatched to Japan, where he encounters a Japanese lead dancer named Anon (portrayed by Machiko Kyo). Anon's exotic charm deeply captivates Lloyd, and he finds himself irresistibly in love.
