A small employee at an advertising agency, Ota Kiichiro (played by Sōta Matsushima), is full of enthusiasm but faces continuous setbacks both at work and in daily interpersonal relationships. Unfortunately, his boss, Otaki Ichiro (played by Etsushi Toyokawa), is selfish and irresponsible, causing Ota to be manipulated by him. One day, just before Otaki is to become a judge at the Santa Monica Advertising Festival, he faces a tough problem: a certain client demands that a boring ad they've produced must win an award in the advertising industry. Otaki, wanting to pass the crisis, tricks Ota into going overseas as a judge in his place. The naive Ota, under pressure, first learns judging skills from Mr. Kagami in the reference room (played by Lily Franky), and then asks his elite female colleague Akari (played by Keiko Kitagawa) to pretend to be his wife and accompany him. Overseas, they not only face a strong competitor, Mizusawa Haruka (played by Kyo K Suzuki), but also have to deal with the judges' various peculiar tricks. Can the overly dull and naive Ota successfully complete this impossible task?
