In a bustling metropolis, there is an obscure rock band working hard yet remaining unknown. One of the band members, Eikichi Tamura (played by Ryuhei Matsuda), hails from Tobu Island in the Seto Inland Sea of Hiroshima Prefecture, and he has been away from home for seven years. With a bleak future ahead and the recent news that his girlfriend Yuka Kaize (played by Atsuko Maeda) is pregnant, this young man with a Mohican hairstyle finally decides to stop the band activities and return home after a long absence to get married. After a lengthy journey, Eikichi finally sets foot on the land of his hometown with Yuka. His father, Haru Tamura (played by Akira Emoto), is currently the conductor of the local school symphony orchestra and is quite stubborn. The rebellious eldest son returning home inevitably leads to a conflict. Fortunately, after enduring hardships, Eikichi manages to reach the day of the wedding. However, just as the celebration reaches its peak, his father suddenly falls ill... Unconsciously, everyone must face life and death partings.
