Picking up right after the previous installment, "Casino Royale," Bond (Daniel Craig) is fueled by rage due to the betrayal of his lover, Vesper. He must strive to control his emotions during his latest mission to prevent it from becoming a personal vendetta. Through an interrogation of Mr. White (Jesper Christensen) by M (Judi Dench), Bond discovers that Vesper was coerced by an unimaginable crime organization. In order to uncover details about this organization, Bond follows the clues at hand, ultimately identifying a businessman named Greene (Mathieu Amalric) as his target. After extensive investigation, he uncovers the organization's staggering conspiracy to control the world's natural resources. With the constant threat of betrayal, murder, and deception, Bond strikes again… eventually succeeding in thwarting the outrageous plot.
