Johnny (played by Brad Pitt) dreams of becoming a rock star. To achieve this dream, he goes all out, completely ignoring the fact that the world around him has undergone tremendous changes and hasn't seriously considered the possibility of realizing his dream. One day, Johnny encounters a Bohemian woman named Drete (played by Alison Moir), and they quickly become inseparable, spending some wild days together. However, the good times are short-lived; as money runs low, Johnny's life falls into dire straits. To fill his stomach, he reluctantly sells his beloved guitar, but nothing gets better, and even Drete leaves him. Later, with the help of his friend Deco (played by Calvin Levels), Johnny redeems his guitar, and they form a band together.
