Sister Tao (played by Ye Duxian) is an old servant who has served the Li family for decades, raising the second-generation young master, Roger (played by Andy Lau). Now in his fifties and still single, Roger is a film producer, while Sister Tao continues to take care of him, which has become a habit... One day, Sister Tao goes to the market as usual to buy groceries, returns home to make soup, and prepares a full table of meals while waiting for Roger to come home from a business trip in the mainland. As she looks out the window at the street scene to pass the time, she unexpectedly faints on the ground... When Sister Tao wakes up, she finds herself in a hospital; she has suffered a stroke! One arm is immobilized, and she must undergo physical therapy to try to regain her mobility. Roger, busy with work, searches for a suitable nursing home for Sister Tao. During this process, he encounters an acquaintance from a past film shoot, Brother Grasshopper (played by Anthony Wong). After Sister Tao is discharged and arrives at the nursing home, she finds the environment unfamiliar and the residents strange, forcing herself to appear calm. Roger visits Sister Tao often after work, and their conversations feel like those of a mother and son, maintaining their usual banter, with Sister Tao being tough on the outside but sweet on the inside, much to the envy of the other residents. Roger specifically takes Sister Tao to a film premiere. For the first time, she deliberately dresses up, taking out her long-stored valuable clothing to attend the event. At the premiere, Sister Tao is amazed and finally gets the chance to meet movie stars; she reflects that she has no regrets in her life...
