The death of her husband Peter (Aden Young) leaves Dawn (Charlotte Gainsbourg) heartbroken. At this time, Dawn's young daughter Simone (Morgana Davies) tells her that Peter's soul resides in a large banyan tree in the yard, silently watching over the whole family. Supported by the banyan tree, Dawn gradually begins to emerge from the pain and sorrow of losing her beloved.
