The story takes place on a luxury cruise ship that is speeding towards its destination. Han Zhi Yi (played by Aaron Kwok) and her father Han Hai Fang and mother Ruan Zhen Shu sneak into Hong Kong, hoping to settle down and have a better life. Han Hai Fang's father has a valuable family business in Hong Kong, and with the help of Yi Zu Xun, a family friend of the Hans, Hai Fang quickly establishes his own business empire, further strengthening the bond between the two families. Yi Jun Shu (played by Lam Ka Tung) is the son of Yi Zu Xun; he and Han Zhi Yi have been childhood sweethearts, sharing a deep emotional connection and viewing each other as potential partners for marriage. During a deal, Yi Zu Xun deliberately spreads false information, misleading Hai Fang. Although this leads to great success for Hai Fang, it also makes him a target of envy among real estate developers in Hong Kong.
