Leslie is a single mother from West Texas who struggles to provide for her son after winning the lottery and having the chance to live a better life. But just a few years later, the money is gone, and Leslie is left alone, living a hard and fast life while trying to escape the broken world she left behind. With her charm depleted and nowhere to go, Leslie returns home. Sweeney is a lonely motel clerk, unwelcome and disliked by those she wrongs, and she takes risks when no one else will. With his support, Leslie faces the consequences of her actions, a life of regrets, and the second chance to create a beautiful life for herself and her son. Throughout the film, Leslie, with the help of friends, strives to get sober, repair her family relationships, and start her own business. The film is based on the semi-autobiographical experiences of writer Ryan Binaco.
