Adapted from the web short series by Dean Fleischer-Camp and Jenny Slate, Dean personally directs and stars as a human documentary filmmaker named Dean who moves into an Airbnb rental and discovers it already has residents—a shell creature named Marcel, his grandmother Connie, and their pet: a tuft named Alan. Marcel is voiced by Jenny Slate, and Connie is voiced by Isabella Rossellini. Marcel and Connie were once part of a large shell family, but due to a mysterious tragic event, the two of them now live alone.
