This film is adapted from the autobiography of American animal scientist and PhD in animal husbandry, Temple Grandin (played by Claire Danes), who has autism since childhood, and tells the unique growth experience of Temple. When Temple was diagnosed with autism at the age of four, her mother tried various methods to help her speak. To give Temple a normal life, her mother painfully sent her to a boarding school.
