The diligent officer Lan Di (played by Xu Zhi An) struggles to make ends meet while trying to take care of his loved ones. Lan Di and his partner Ah Chuan (played by Lei Yu Yang) receive a tip about drug trafficking related to the gang boss Hui Shao (played by Xie Tian Hua), but during the capture, they find out that Hui Shao had already made arrangements. An informant is threatened by the gang and leaves the port, leading to a humiliating confrontation between Lan Di and Hui Shao's crew. While tailing Hui Shao, Lan Di meets a woman named June (played by Li Li Zhen), who smashed Hui Shao's sports car. June suffers from memory loss due to psychotropic drugs, and the two naturally bond over their mutual dislike for Hui Shao. Meanwhile, Ah Chuan, who owes Hui Shao a usurious debt, wishes to break free from Hui Shao's threat but is met with retaliation. To save Ah Chuan, Lan Di kills Hui Shao. Hui Shao's father, the gang leader Jesus, claims that Lan Di must commit suicide to atone for the death, plunging Lan Di and those around him into despair...
