"Jesus Christ: The Exodus from Egypt" is the first installment of Anne Rice's "Jesus Christ Series," author of "Interview with the Vampire." It tells the story of 7-year-old Jesus and his family's return to Nazareth from Egypt, where he discovers the truth about his birth and his mission. There is a second installment titled "The Road To Cana," and the third part, "The Kingdom of Heaven," is still in development. The film "Jesus Christ: The Exodus from Egypt" is produced by Chris Columbus's 1492 Pictures and CJ Entertainment, directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh, who previously directed "The Stoning of Soraya M," with the screenplay written by Cyrus Nowrasteh and his wife.
