The heavy debt-ridden detective Fei Tong (played by Lam Suet) has a gambling addiction and is constantly pursued by the loan shark Chan Yiu Hung (played by Lam Ka Tung). Desperate, Fei Tong resorts to stealing money from the police station’s seized funds, but even after the theft, he cannot pay off his debts and is forced to hide in a small hotel to escape from Ah Hung. PTU officer A Shen (played by Simon Yam) learns of Fei Tong’s crime and tries to protect and help his friend, but ultimately has limited power. By chance, Fei Tong meets four fellow Teochew compatriots next door, who appreciate his professional driving skills.
