A mainland killer, Li Qiang (played by Chow Yun-fat), arrives in the United States alone to bring his mother and sister, who are still in his hometown, to America for a family reunion. In desperation, he borrows money from Mr. Wei, the gang leader in Manhattan's Chinatown.
