Six hundred years ago, during the Yuan Dynasty, painter Huang Gongwang created the "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains," depicting the scenic beauty along both sides of the Fuchun River. In preparation for the 2022 Asian Games, Fuyang is energetically engaged in new city construction. Against this backdrop, "Spring River Softens" tells the story of four brothers who take turns caring for their mother, who has become demented after a stroke, along the banks of the Fuchun River in Hangzhou, with each family facing tests of familial bonds and daily life, gradually unfolding like a painting through the changes of the four seasons.
