Da Dong is in the same gang as A-Hui and is very jealous of A-Hui's favor with Uncle Sing, constantly trying to compete with him. A-Hui is tired of the power struggles and has long wanted to leave this place of disputes. By chance, A-Hui meets a woman named A-Yuet (played by Gigi Leung). A-Yuet's background is very similar to A-Hui's; suffering from a terminal illness, she has lost hope for the future and drifts through life. With A-Hui's help, A-Yuet gradually finds meaning in her life, and a genuine affection develops between them. Ah Fung (played by Matt Wu) is a gang member who is deeply attracted to A-Yuet's openness but knows that she has already given her heart to someone else.
