A small vendor barely making a living by driving a taxi learns during a meeting with a bank consultant that the bribe he had prepared to pay the consultant to secure a loan for saving his workshop has doubled. While the moral oversight committee reviews his complaint about being extorted by the banker, they also want a piece of the action. Driven to the edge of reason, the vendor shoots the banker and then takes his own life. This event sparks a nationwide discussion about civil society on the airwaves. Meanwhile, six taxi drivers and their passengers are driving through the night, each hoping to find the direction to a better life. The entire film takes place within 24 hours, where people use taxis to cheat, commit murder, or rush towards the unknown in their lives... each story is shot in a single take. To achieve this technique, the director and crew drove through the streets of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Each year, very few films are produced in Bulgaria, and the film industry lacks national funding; however, this has not diminished the artistic achievement of this low-budget film. Director Stefan Komandarev is actively seeking a direction for the Bulgarian film industry and real life.
