Snowden enlisted in 2004 and was later deployed to the battlefield in Iraq. Unfortunately, he was injured in both legs during training. After retiring and returning to the U.S., Snowden was hired by the CIA. Subsequently, he began working at the NSA, where he unexpectedly discovered the government's large-scale surveillance program on citizens' phone calls and social networks after the 9/11 attacks, leading him to leak a significant amount of classified documents.
