This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Tianxia Bachang and serves as a prequel to the "Ghost Blows Out the Light" series, telling the story of young Hu Bayi's first tomb raiding. Hu Bayi and his friend Wang Pangzi are hired by a mysterious boss to search for the Gold Touching Ring in Old Black Mountain.
