Ali (played by He Qinan) and his friends Meatloaf (played by Lin Yanhang) and Godfriend (played by Tang Zhanpeng) are 17- or 18-year-old youths who spend their days idly, only enjoying riding bicycles and stealing car radios for a living. One day, the three of them, provoked unintentionally by a police school instructor, decide to steal items from his car but are caught. The instructor is very disappointed in them. Rehabilitation officer Zhong Chuxiong (played by Liang Shaoxiong) takes over to rehabilitate Ali and the others, hoping to spark their interest in cycling and steer them away from crime. Ali falls in love at first sight with a girl named A-Ling (played by Liu Qiandi), while Bai Ma (played by Huang Guocheng), the leader of the police school bicycle team, also falls for A-Ling, leading to a conflict with Ali. The police school instructor further exacerbates the situation by publicly humiliating Ali and his friends, prompting them to vow revenge. Xiong learns about this and tells the three to control their emotions, using his cycling skills to win their respect. Bai Ma and his team challenge Ali and the others multiple times, and the day before the race, Meatloaf has an accident while driving Bai Ma's bike and cannot compete. Suddenly, A-Ling replaces the injured Meatloaf, infuriating Bai Ma and his team. During the race, Bai Ma employs tricks, but he cannot stop Ali from finishing in first place.
