Advertising company employee Wu Dehui (played by Andy Lau) and his colleague Li Chi (played by Chan Sau Ping) go on a business trip to the mainland and incidentally smuggle out cultural relics. They accidentally discover a secret cave and obtain a martial arts manual, rescuing the frozen Princess Yunluo of the Yuan Dynasty (played by Joey Wong) and her maid Xiaoman (played by Mei Xiaohui). However, they also inadvertently release the evil master Tian Can (played by Yuen Wah). The princess, skilled in multiple languages, thrives in modern society, while Ah Hui and Ah Chi, with the help of the two ancient women, successfully master the Buddha Palm and the Seven Twists Slash, transforming from losers to heroes. Just as the duo enjoys their success, Tian Can reappears, determined to abduct Princess Yunluo. In one chase, Tian Can arrives at Ah Chi's home and mistakenly identifies Ah Chi's father (played by Tsao Ta-hua) as the hero Long Jianfei, allowing Yunluo and Xiaoman to escape successfully, but Ah Hui and Ah Chi are captured. With the help of a psychic from the mainland (played by Liu Xun), Ah Hui finally masters the final move of the Buddha Palm, "Ten Thousand Buddhas Face the Buddha," defeating Tian Can and rescuing the princess's fate.
