Bernard the elf (voiced by Martin Freeman) is a lowly waste management worker, clumsy in his actions and constantly getting into awkward situations, yet his dream is to become a great inventor. This year, he botches his experiment in the Christmas technology competition. Coincidentally, this little mishap brings a crisis to Elf City. The villain Benny (voiced by Tim Curry) invades Elf City, and everyone faces disaster. Amidst great danger, Bernard stumbles upon an unexpected revelation that he is the only one who can save the day.
