Veteran TV reporter Jiang Youwei (played by Xu Guanwen) is diagnosed with colon cancer by a doctor and given only three months to live. Upon learning of his condition, the TV station boss initially wants to fire him but later exploits his situation to boost the ratings of the show. To ensure a stable future for his family, Jiang Youwei hides his illness and works tirelessly to make money, ultimately gaining both wealth and public trust through his efforts. His eldest daughter, A Shi (played by Chen Shaoxia), discovers the truth and tells the family, who become very worried.
