Architect Tony (played by Tony Leung) has a rather dull and honest personality, to the extent that he has secretly loved his colleague Aileen (played by Chan Yat-lun) for many years but never gathers the courage to confess. To make matters worse, Aileen already has a close boyfriend, and Tony's unrequited love seems doomed to fail. By chance, Tony finds himself haunted by a ghost, and fortunately, he is helped by a female ghost named Jiajia (played by Kwong Jik-lun) to escape. Because of this incident, Tony gains a special ability to communicate with Jiajia. Knowing about Tony's unfulfilled love, the enthusiastic Jiajia decides to help him. After some ups and downs, Aileen finally leaves her boyfriend and falls into Tony's arms. However, it is only at this moment that Tony realizes he has actually fallen deeply in love with Jiajia. Helpless, as humans and ghosts are destined to part ways, Tony decides to die together with her.
