Early in the morning, in a snow-covered mountainous area, a pair of Israeli soldiers are digging a pit near the barracks to bury a large amount of spoiled food. Captain Yuval (played by Ohad Knoller) patrols with soldier Rio, who is handsome and is referred to by his comrades as a certain celebrity, Yigael (played by Yehuda Levi). Yuval and Yigael are secretly in a homosexual relationship, and they quickly turn their patrol into a date in the snow, with soon-to-be-discharged Yigael sharing his future travel plans with Yuval... Officer Zohar arrives with two female soldiers, Gadi and Yeli, to assign a nighttime ambush mission. After the soldiers have a hasty lunch, someone tells a gay joke. Yeli has feelings for Yigael but has never confessed, and a soldier familiar with the situation tries to warn him to get close to Yeli, but it proves ineffective. In the evening, the squad sets out to execute the mission, and an unexpected exchange of gunfire brings a tragic end...
