This film focuses on the early 20th century, set against the backdrop of the changes in European society at that time. A pair of twin sisters go their separate ways after birth; one becomes a socialite who seduces wealthy men, while the other becomes an anarchist engaged in terrorism with explosives strapped to her body. Unbeknownst to each other, they board the same Orient Express and have relations with the same man. When they finally meet face to face, both have shed their previous behaviors and become truly independent women.
