Wu Shun (played by Leung Ka Fai) and Tuo Shui Long (played by Eric Tsang) were childhood best friends growing up in the same village. However, thirty years ago, Tuo Shui Long, who was in charge of the funds raised by the neighborhood, embezzled money on the night of the fundraising and disappeared without a trace. Time flies, and thirty years later, after Wu Shun's business goes bankrupt, he returns to the village with his family and soon encounters Tuo Shui Long's unexpected reappearance. The two reminisce about the past with mixed emotions, and Wu Shun gradually puts aside his grievances. Wu Shun dismisses the strange experiences that A Long shares about his years away as mere jokes. Su Zhen (played by Yuen Yong Yi), Wu Shun's childhood sweetheart, also returns to the village, and their late-night reunion while alone leads to a misunderstanding when Shun's wife (played by Ng Kwan Yu) accidentally walks in. However, the two quickly reconcile, and the family is reunited as before. Tuo Shui Long initiates the "Village Revitalization Plan," giving the villagers hope for survival in the cracks between large supermarkets and malls. But just as the villagers eagerly participate in the revitalization plan, A Long disappears again, and a corporation appears wanting to evict the villagers. What has A Long faced over the years, can the villagers overcome their difficulties, and will A Long reappear? All answers will be revealed at the end of the film. This film invites a hundred stars from Hong Kong, marking another "gathering" of HK stars after 2010's "The 72 Tenants."
