This war film is a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). It revolves around the story of the protagonist, Pavel Zubov, a school teacher for whom being a teacher is his life's mission. Pavel's village is occupied by fascists. He believes in fundamental human values like love and family. However, a series of events change his perception of life, bringing him back to reality. In the war, the enemy gradually reveals its true nature. Pavel must make a difficult choice: to survive and adapt to the new regime, or to fight for his family, love, homeland, ideals, and beliefs.
