The film is based on true events, with Richard Jewell known worldwide as the security guard who discovered the bomb at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. He quickly took action, saving countless lives and becoming a hero. However, within days, the situation turned drastically; he, who dreamed of becoming a law enforcer, faced defamation from the media and public, becoming the FBI's primary suspect and falling into an unprecedented predicament. Jewell sought help from independent lawyer Watson Bryant, insisting on his innocence.
