OK Lai (played by Leon Lai) is known for his lying ways. One day, he meets Wonderful (played by Cecilia Cheung) at a convenience store. OK is a real estate agent who goes to negotiate business with the company where Wonderful works, but Wonderful and her friends mistakenly think that OK is a well-off cousin of the company boss. Taking advantage of this misunderstanding, OK decides to deceive Wonderful while trying to romance the boss's sister. Wonderful's father is in debt due to gambling, and OK uses his friends to help Wonderful pay off the debt, which deeply moves her. However, the truth eventually comes out, and Wonderful learns of OK's lies, leaving her heartbroken. In an attempt to win her back, OK promises never to lie again.
