The Great East Japan Earthquake devastated the life of adult film actress Asano Natsumi (played by Yua Mikami). Meanwhile, she learns that a male actor, with whom she has worked on multiple projects, has committed suicide due to AIDS, which means she has been exposed to this terrifying virus all along. A postcard that arrives unexpectedly prompts Natsumi to travel to Taiwan, where her past lover and long-separated son await her. At a seaside guesthouse, Natsumi encounters Japanese chef Gao Zhenming (played by Lee Kang-sheng), who unexpectedly discovers that Natsumi closely resembles his long-missing wife, leading him to develop special feelings for her. This causes discomfort for his assistant, Xiao Min (played by Chi Pei-hui), who has been maintaining a physical relationship with Gao Zhenming; jealousy slowly accumulates within her, eventually exploding.
