Mr. Sadu, a stage director (played by Seamus O'Brien), operates an underground theater in the dark corners of New York, where every performance is invariably related to the abuse of women. On stage, young women are stripped bare and moan in pain, while the emotionless performers subject them to beatings, sawing off hands, pinching fingers, eye gouging, and even crushing heads, among other tortures. The performances are brutally realistic, leaving the audience horrified. Although Mr. Sadu repeatedly claims the authenticity of the performances, the audience perceives them as shows with impressive special effects. In fact, as Mr. Sadu says, the women being abused on stage are suffering real pain. Sadu abducts them, satisfying his insane and twisted desires through endless torment...
