The film is based on a true story. An accident leaves Lao Yu (Gao Qiang) without his legs, and he spends the long remainder of his life in bed. After their mother passes away, Lao Yu is taken care of by his sister Qiu Hong (Yu Yuexian). Lao Yu has been burdened with guilt for feeling that he is a burden to his mother and sister. He dedicates himself to designing a transportation tool that can carry him out of the house, but no one believes that the complex plans will turn into reality. One day, a lovely Labrador accidentally arrives at Lao Yu's home.
