The passionate detective Yashiro Tomo (played by Haru), belonging to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police’s First Investigative Division "Special Investigation Countermeasure Room" 6th Unit, visits the Kyoto Prefectural Police alongside her high-IQ senior, Narumi Risa (played by Kyoka Suzuki), who specializes in text interpretation, and their supervisor, Kusaka Shinji (played by Kenichi Endo). Three days ago, a strange incident occurred in Kyoto City where the body of the deceased cafe owner Takemura Yusuke was found with the character "男" written in red ink, consisting of three connected Chinese characters. Although their supervisor dismisses this theory, Tomo and Risa refuse to give up and continue to search for the truth of the timeline. At this point, they learn that the murdered Takemura had worked for the largest software company about four to five years ago. Additionally, two days before his murder, Takemura had met with the president of that software company. To further investigate, Tomo and her colleagues go to that software company, but they are unexpectedly met with a closed door. Just then, another murder occurs in Tokyo. Upon seeing the red ink "品" inscriptions left at the scene, Risa's expression changes immediately as she realizes the complexity of the situation...
