Peng Haoxiang attempts to explain the confusions or paths in modern life through his "Troubles." Public Spirit Jason (played by Edison Chen) tries to impress the beautiful Shirley (played by Cheng Rong) in a bar by claiming he is quite public-spirited. He explains that every time he urinates, he washes away the leftover feces in the toilet, which he believes is a great help to the cleaners. Budgeting Ah Fu (played by Eason Chan) and Hui Ying (played by Chan Yi Ning) start living together a month after they meet, but Ah Fu is shocked to find that Hui Ying does not approve of premarital sex. This puts Ah Fu, who sleeps with Hui Ying every night, in great distress. Finally, on one Christmas, they solve their problem in a different way. Value-Added Ah Ze (played by Chapman To) often visits a hotel to solicit sex through Ming Ge's introductions, though he has never seen Ming Ge in person. Once, Ming Ge introduces Ah Ze to a girl from Shanghai (played by Zhang Zheng) at a hotel. After they finish, the girl asks Ah Ze to help her top up her phone card because she cannot understand Cantonese. Following that, Ah Ze goes to a noodle shop across from the hotel the girl frequents, suddenly thinking about that Shanghai girl looking for a job in Hong Kong. Johnny Da Mr. Huang (played by Kim Peida) is a VIP in a hitman organization, and one day, they give him a voucher to kill someone for free. However, the person killed will be a training target for a hitman apprentice. Lok Jai (played by Shawn Yue) is one of the apprentices sent to murder the bowling alley manager. Just as he is about to carry out the task, his shift ends. Big Head Ah Hui Student Ah Qi (played by Dicky Cheung) is good friends with Big Head Ah Hui (played by Gillian Chung). A mechanic named Fei Ying (played by Mike He) pursues Ah Hui, and when she asks Ah Qi for advice, Ah Qi casually says it’s a good idea because she hopes Ah Hui will date and stop bothering her. Ah Hui ends up dating. Soon, Ah Hui gets pregnant by Fei Ying and wants to borrow money from Ah Qi to have an abortion, but Ah Qi, wanting to save money for a trip with her boyfriend, suggests Ah Hui marry Fei Ying instead. Ah Hui truly marries him, and later, Ah Qi also has a child while her boyfriend abandons her, leaving her a single mother. Meanwhile, after marrying Fei Ying, Ah Hui skyrockets in her career, becoming the happiest woman. De Ya Star Ah Chi (played by Kwan Zhi Bin), an employee at a magazine company, tells lies to win over his girlfriend De Ya by claiming he has named a star after her, which is officially called De Ya Star. Later, the residents who immigrated to De Ya Star carry a religious sense of original sin due to this naming, as if the planet’s name was obtained through deception, just like their living space. Force Majeure Professor Chen (played by Chen Hui Hong) and his wife (played by Tian Rui Ni) have been living happily until they recently started arguing over trivial matters, causing their relationship to deteriorate. They decide to see a psychologist (played by Lin Hai Feng) to resolve the confusion in their marriage. In the end, they discover that even though they have been living together, a deep chasm lies between them.
