Jane (Dree Hemingway) is a twenty-one-year-old young woman with a dream of becoming an actress. She arrives in the San Fernando Valley located in California. However, becoming an actress is not as simple as it seems. Before long, Jane, like most girls striving here, finds herself broke and anonymous. In Jane's social circle, most of her friends are unreliable, and the most trustworthy companion turns out to be her Chihuahua named Scarlett. At a flea market held at the home of the elderly Sandy (Besedka Johnson), Jane accidentally discovers an antique stuffed with a large bundle of cash. This fortune is hard for the financially-strapped Jane to ignore, and she starts plotting to get her hands on the money, leading her to deliberately approach Sandy. Unexpectedly, Jane's actions drastically change her life.
