Living alone in Taipei, Xu Ziqi is searching for a direction to survive in the future while chasing a peaceful life and remains caught in a confusing relationship with her boyfriend. She often receives calls meant for "Johnny," which, along with her little parrots, provide some diversion and companionship in her life. Li Li, a big boy living downstairs from Xu Ziqi, is the son of the landlady. Li Li reads the newspaper every day and listens to his recordings repeatedly to train his focus, but since the day he discovered Xu Ziqi, the female tenant downstairs, sneaking her birds onto the MRT, his usual rhythm of life has been disrupted, causing him to be distracted and wander aimlessly around the city on his bike, until his mother inquires, revealing a shared longing between mother and son. The wandering foreman Zhang Yifeng has just taken on a renovation project at a construction site near Li Li's home.
