During the Anti-Japanese War, Su Xin (He Lin) from the New Fourth Army in southern Jiangsu goes to Shanghai alone to procure weapons. His mission is discovered by Japanese intelligence, and Matsuda (Chen Shu) sends internal officer Mei Yukun (Ma Xiaowei) to investigate the case. Unbeknownst to them, Mei is an underground agent who secretly reports this information to the underground party leader Lao Zhao (Tan Pengfei), instructing him to immediately investigate the hidden traitor within the guerrilla team, and entrusts the Green Gang leader Chang Zhenbao (Cheng Zhi) to help purchase bullets.
