The Yukino family, who run the public bathhouse Yukinoyu, is forced to close because the husband, Ichiho (played by Joe Odagiri), suddenly went missing a year ago. His wife, Futaba (played by Rie Miyazawa), tirelessly supports all family matters by herself but gradually feels overwhelmed. Their daughter, Azusa (played by Hana Sugisaki), is bullied at school and feels depressed. After a doctor's examination, Futaba discovers she is in the late stages of cancer, with very limited time left. She wipes her tears and hires a private detective to find her husband, who had been living with another woman, as well as Ichiho's other daughter. She encourages Azusa to face the school challenges with strength and to confront everything that fate throws at them with a spirited attitude. Futaba does her utmost to send her family warmth in her final days…Rie Miyazawa won the Best Actress award at the 40th Japan Academy Awards in 2017 for her outstanding performance.
