The ghost of Xu Banxiang (Maggie Cheung), a once-popular female singer, calculates that a certain pregnant woman is going to give birth at a specific hospital and prepares to be reincarnated. However, the pregnant woman is mistakenly sent to the wrong hospital by the happy ghost (Huang Baiming), who has transformed from a high school teacher, causing Xu Banxiang to miss her chance at reincarnation. In order to vent her frustrations, Xu Banxiang starts to find ways to prank the happy ghost. In one extreme instance, she possesses the female class monitor (Yuan Jieying) of the happy ghost's class, leading her to create a scene at a nightclub, resulting in a group of ruffians having their fun interrupted by the police. The happy ghost becomes an innocent casualty of this situation. Just as Xu Banxiang is feeling both pleased and concerned, the happy ghost attempts to win her over with love, leading to a happy resolution just as the ruffians are released from jail.
