In Hong Kong's Temple Street, where life is a mix of chaos, Ma Miao (played by Ekin Cheng), who grew up here, experiences the harsh realities of life. His father was murdered on the streets when he was very young, and his mother supports him by singing risqué songs. Handsome and loyal, Ma Miao has many admirers and a good friend named Crab (played by Vincent Kok). On his birthday, while watching fireworks in Shenzhen, he meets the beautiful rich girl Xiao Zhuan (played by Wu Qianlian). That night, when Xiao Zhuan is harassed by thugs, Ma Miao intervenes and kills one of the thugs, resulting in a four-year prison sentence. Four years later, Ma Miao is released, and Xiao Zhuan has become a DJ at a radio station. Through the airwaves, these two young people who have feelings for each other reconnect. However, their social standings are vastly different. Ma Miao secures a job at Xiao Zhuan's father's company but struggles to adapt to the so-called upper-class lifestyle. To force his daughter to break up with this "little gangster," Xiao Zhuan's father resorts to underhanded tactics. As a result, Ma Miao faces debt issues and even gets into conflict with the gangsters of Temple Street.
