Since she was very young, the younger sister (played by Zhu Lin) was abandoned by her parents and became an orphan. Fortunately, far away in Australia, a gentleman named Randall (played by Guy Pearce) came to her aid, allowing her to live a worry-free life in the orphanage. The younger sister has never seen her lifesaver, and her understanding of Randall is limited to the various beautiful cards he sent her. In her impression, Randall lives in a big house, has a happy family, and is rich and kind. One unexpected opportunity arises when the orphanage where the sister resides comes to Australia for an event. The younger sister secretly leaves the group and embarks on a journey to find Randall alone. Unexpectedly, reality splashes cold water on her; Randall is not wealthy and has even lost his freedom. Randall's downfall does not alter the younger sister's respect for him, and as time goes by, a bond similar to familial affection develops between the two.
