In the mysterious land of Peru, there lives a rare species of bear known as the Peruvian bear, possessing a very high IQ and linguistic abilities. Once, the bear couple, Pastuzo and Lucy, formed a deep bond with an explorer from London and learned the art of making marmalade. However, a disaster has now shattered the bears' peaceful and happy life. Aunt Lucy sends her mischievous nephew off on a ship to London, advising him to start a new life in that friendly country. The little bear, having traveled thousands of miles, arrives at Paddington Station, but the indifference of modern society leaves him feeling lost. Fortunately, he encounters the Brown family and is given a lovely name—Paddington (voiced by Ben Whishaw). The kind-hearted matriarch Mary (played by Sally Hawkins) is eager to help Paddington find a place to stay, while the patriarch Henry (played by Hugh Bonneville) is always trying to send this unexpected trouble away. During this process, the quirky relationship between Paddington and the Brown family slowly warms up, while Millicent, a taxidermist at the Natural History Museum (played by Nicole Kidman), stealthily approaches Paddington with sinister intentions...
