Evolutionary biologist Dr. Margo (played by Penelope Ann Miller) and Detective Vincent (played by Tom Sizemore) encounter a series of chilling murders, all occurring at the natural history museum where Margo works. The museum is preparing for a grand exhibition of ancient artifacts from South America, and director Ancasber (played by Linda Hunt) has designed a variety of breathtaking exhibition halls, including areas dedicated to Brazil's "Casuaga," the Egyptian tombs, the Maya tombs, a voodoo display, and a superstition legends section, aiming to attract attention from all quarters at the fundraising opening gala to secure the museum's future. Originally a firm believer in science and a skeptic of superstition, Margo has no choice but to consult her guiding professor Flock (played by James Wachtel) to explore the "Casuaga" killer legend that he often relates. As the opening gala draws near, crowds pour in, with officials gathering! The Casuaga lurks within the winding exhibition halls of the museum, while Margo and Detective Vincent uncover the mystery of "Casuaga." The killer has made an appearance at the gala venue, and horrifying screams echo in the darkness...
