In a town in Tokyo, there is a car repair shop called Suzuki, owned by Suzuki Taisuke (played by Masakazu Tamura), who leads a happy and harmonious life with his wife Tomoe (played by Hiroko Yakushimaru) and son Ippei. One day, they welcome Hoshino Ruko (played by Maki Horikita), who comes from the countryside to work in the big city.
